In particular, in Volyn, in the city of Kovel, numerous hits from kamikaze drones were recorded on the buildings of the locomotive depot. According to preliminary data, about seven direct hits from enemy drones were recorded on the depot’s territory, leading to damage to infrastructure facilities.

In Sumy, strikes were carried out on the station in Konotop, where freight railway cars were hit, resulting in additional material losses.

Situation in Odesa and Further Threats

In addition, Russian forces attacked the logistical infrastructure of Odesa. Against the backdrop of a high probability of repeated strikes, recovery efforts remain complicated, affecting the pace of eliminating the consequences of the shelling.

“Moreover, the occupiers struck the logistical infrastructure of Odesa with Shahed drones, and there remains a threat of repeated attacks, complicating recovery efforts,” Kuleba reported.

Despite the challenging situation, Ukrzaliznytsia’s repair teams are working promptly to eliminate the damage. According to official information, passenger train services have not been disrupted and continue as usual.
