The official dollar exchange rate in Ukraine has updated its historical maximum, exceeding the mark of 44 hryvnias. The National Bank of Ukraine set the exchange rate for the American currency at 44.38 UAH/dollar on Thursday, June 5, which is the highest figure recorded to date.

The euro also remains above the psychological mark of 51 hryvnias — according to the regulator, the official exchange rate is 51.67 UAH/euro. Among other popular currencies used in the Ukrainian market, high levels are being maintained.

The National Bank of Ukraine established the following official exchange rates for popular currencies on June 5:
- Polish zloty — 12.19 UAH;
- Pound sterling — 59.73 UAH;
- Swiss franc — 56.38 UAH;
- Canadian dollar — 31.94 UAH;
- Chinese yuan — 6.55 UAH;
- Turkish lira — 0.96 UAH.
Dynamics of the cash and interbank market
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate fluctuated between 44.05–44.55 UAH, while in exchange offices, the American currency was sold at 44.25–44.30 UAH per dollar. The euro in the cash market traded in the range of 51.65–51.76 UAH.

The interbank market opened with quotes of 44.34–44.37 UAH per dollar, while trades for the euro were conducted at 51.48–51.50 UAH per euro.
Financial experts note that the update of record highs for the dollar exchange rate has been ongoing for several weeks. This dynamic is observed due to stable demand for foreign currency, as well as the impact of global fluctuations in the world financial markets.
