Ukrainian Labor Market: Increasing Number of Job Vacancies with Housing Provided

Since the beginning of the year, there has been a significant increase in the number of job vacancies on the Ukrainian labor market where employers offer housing to employees. According to the State Employment Service, approximately 2,000 such offers have been made during this period, which is 30% higher than the figure for the same period in 2024.

Demand for Workers and Employer Motivation

The situation in the labor market is characterized by a significant surplus of job vacancies compared to the number of officially registered job seekers. Employers, aiming to attract new employees, are increasingly using additional motivational tools, including providing housing. More than 230,000 active job offers are posted daily on the Unified Job Portal of the State Employment Service, while the number of officially registered candidates is about 127,000 per day.

Geography of Job Vacancies with Housing Provided

The highest number of housing offers is recorded in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. In the capital, 330 such vacancies have been announced during the current period, of which 148 remain relevant. In the Kyiv region, this figure stands at 276 offers, with 132 being current.

Among other regions where housing is actively offered along with employment, the leaders are:

  • Poltava region — 67 vacancies;
  • Dnipropetrovsk region — 72 vacancies;
  • Khmelnytskyi region — 68 vacancies.

At the same time, the least such opportunities are observed in regions located near the front line.

Moreover, according to surveys, most job seekers expect prompt feedback from employers after an interview. About 80% of respondents indicated that they are willing to wait for a response no longer than one week before considering other employment options.
