In the Ukrainian labor market, a steady increase in the average salary has been observed since the beginning of the year: it increases by approximately 500 UAH each month, and in May 2025, this figure reached 25,000 UAH.

Sectors with the highest salary growth rates
The largest increase in the average salary has been recorded in the following categories:
- Logistics, Warehousing, Foreign Economic Activity — 24,000 UAH, an increase of 4%;
- Agriculture, Agribusiness — 27,500 UAH, an increase of 3%;
- Real Estate — 52,500 UAH, an increase of 3%.

At the same time, some sectors have experienced a decrease in average salaries. In particular, in the category of “Law,” the average salary has decreased to 24,000 UAH (down 4%), and in “Culture, Music, Show Business” — to 24,250 UAH (down 3%).
Trends in the job market
Traditionally, at the end of spring and the beginning of summer, the number of open vacancies in the service sector increases. However, in May 2025, the highest number of vacancies was recorded in the category of “Skilled Trades, Manufacturing.” This was due to a severe shortage of personnel in this sector.
Additionally, there has been an increase in the number of vacancies in the hotel and restaurant business, tourism, and the service sector. The number of job offers for students (+3%) and inexperienced individuals (+5%) has also increased. At the same time, the volume of remote vacancies has decreased by 4%, indicating a decline in employers’ interest in remote work.
