Popularity of online services among Ukrainians and the diaspora
The vast majority of users — over 62.5 thousand individuals — registered for the electronic card through the mobile application “Diia.” At the same time, the service is actively used by citizens who are outside the country: through the platform “e-Consul,” nearly 700 Ukrainians have obtained a digital tax number.
“The registration of a taxpayer identification number remains one of the most important administrative services”
Digitization of tax services: benefits for citizens
The registration of a taxpayer identification number traditionally ranks among the most sought-after administrative services. In 2025 alone, over 600 thousand such documents were issued to Ukrainians. This is why transitioning this process to a digital format has become one of the priority directions for government agencies.
The implementation of the electronic taxpayer card is another step in the development of state digital services. The new mechanism allows citizens to obtain the necessary document regardless of their location, which is especially important for those who are abroad or unable to visit the tax office in person.
In addition, the State Tax Service has updated the list of taxpayers demonstrating a high level of voluntary compliance with tax obligations. As of May this year, the list includes 9,251 business entities — 260 more than in the previous list.
