Sanctions Against the Service of the Russian Tanker Fleet

According to the president’s statement, these sanctions are synchronized with similar measures implemented by the European Union. The aim of the decision is to prevent the activities of companies that assist in Russian oil exports, which are under international sanctions.

“We continue to synchronize sanctions with the European Union. I have signed a decree to impose sanctions against companies servicing the Russian tanker fleet and transporting sanctioned oil,” the message states.

New Restrictions for Kremlin Propagandists and Hackers

Zelensky reported that the new sanctions also target Kremlin propagandists and individuals involved in organizing cyberattacks against Ukraine and its partners. According to the president, last week the EU synchronized Ukrainian sanctions against six Russian propagandists on its territory.

Currently, preparations are underway for the twentieth package of European Union sanctions against Russia. Zelensky expressed hope that the new restrictions will be approved by the end of February and emphasized that a significant portion of Ukrainian initiatives has already been taken into account in this package.
