As of August 1, 2025, there were 60 banking institutions operating in Ukraine, where individuals held a total of 1.306 trillion hryvnias. Since the beginning of the year, the volume of deposits has increased by 7.4%, or 90 billion hryvnias.

State Banks Lead in Savings Amount
The citizens of Ukraine show the most trust in state banks. In particular, PrivatBank has accumulated 472.8 billion hryvnias in deposits, while Oschadbank has 220.7 billion hryvnias.
Ukrainians hold the most savings in state banks: 472.8 billion UAH in PrivatBank and 220.7 billion UAH in Oschadbank.

Thus, these financial institutions remain the most popular for storing funds among the population of Ukraine.
Additionally, in the second quarter of 2025, the average interest rate on new hryvnia deposits (including demand deposits) increased by 0.7 percentage points, reaching 10.5% per annum.
