In 2025, Ukraine intends to deploy 15,000 robots to the front, the vast majority of which will be manufactured domestically. This was reported by the Director of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense, Hlib Kanievsky, in an interview with the publication “Economic Truth”.

Kanievsky noted that the contracting of equipment is already actively underway, unlike the previous year. In the second half of 2024, the Ministry of Defense signed six contracts for the supply of ground robots totaling 100 million hryvnias.
Additionally, the Defense Procurement Agency reported that in the first quarter of 2025, 31 contracts were signed worth 6 billion hryvnias.
“Last year we deployed hundreds of robots to the front. This year we plan to deploy thousands,” said Tencore’s Director, Maksym Vasylenko.
Hlib Kanievsky also emphasized that foreign robot models are significantly more expensive than Ukrainian ones, making them less competitive. He added that defense companies have been tasked with improving the quality of their products during the execution of contracts, aimed at ensuring maximum effectiveness in operations at the front.
