According to the proposal, the Pension Fund of Ukraine will be responsible for the payment of state social assistance to individuals who are not entitled to a pension, persons with disabilities, and children with disabilities. Previously, these functions were performed by social protection agencies.
Additionally, the draft provides for the continuation of state assistance payments during the state of emergency through the identification of recipients of such support. The document also includes clarifications regarding the procedure for the payment of state social assistance to low-income families, in cases where members of those families are outside the country for more than 90 consecutive calendar days.
This draft law has been developed in accordance with the reform of medical and social expertise and the implementation of assessments of an individual’s daily functioning.
