According to the source, three separate documents have been signed as part of the agreements between Ukraine and the United States. Under these agreements, 50% of the revenues from all new projects in the field of extracting Ukrainian natural resources, not just rare earth metals, will go to a special fund.
The Ratification Process of the Agreement
Since this is an international treaty, for it to come into effect, the agreement must be ratified by the Verkhovna Rada. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak noted that the consideration of this issue could take place during the plenary week from May 13 to 15. After the ratification procedure is completed, the investment fund is expected to become operational.
