Assessment of the situation and government response

President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the latest strikes on Dnipro, as well as the shelling of Odesa and Kharkiv region. He emphasized that the war continues daily and Ukraine needs constant support and security from its partners.

“It is important that our partners do not forget: the war is every day, and security is needed every day. Russia must end this war of theirs, and this can only be ensured through pressure on them. The pressure must not decrease, and sanctions must work,” he stated.

Details of the shelling and international reaction

It is known that earlier, as a result of repeated shelling of the regional center on the afternoon of April 30, another person was injured. Russian military forces continually use various types of weaponry — strike drones, missiles, aerial bombs, and multiple launch rocket systems to attack Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure across all regions of the country.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations classify these attacks as war crimes of the Russian Federation, emphasizing their targeted nature. The shelling of critical facilities, such as life support systems, hospitals, energy infrastructure, and educational institutions, exhibits signs of genocidal actions, as they deprive people of essential living conditions: electricity, heat, water, communication, and medical assistance.

Despite the obvious destruction and casualties among the civilian population, the leadership of Russia denies the use of targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure during the full-scale war against Ukraine.
