Details of Defense Sector Funding

The total amount of 10.8 billion UAH will strengthen the logistical support of the Ukrainian army and stimulate domestic production of modern weapons. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that the government’s decision is part of a systematic effort to enhance the country’s defense capabilities.

“Funds have been successfully accumulated in a special fund of the state budget and directed to defense needs,” noted Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Priorities for State Support of Defense

9 billion hryvnias from the total amount will be allocated directly for the purchase of weapons and military equipment, while the remaining funds will support the production enterprises of the defense-industrial complex. Such measures allow for not only a prompt response to current challenges but also support the country’s economy by developing national production in the defense sector.

Thanks to the new government decision, an increase in the efficiency of providing Ukrainian military personnel with everything necessary for the protection of the state is expected, as well as stimulation of the development of the domestic defense sector.
