The Government Allocated 273.2 Million UAH in Subsidies for Frontline and De-occupied Communities

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the distribution of an additional subsidy amounting to 273.2 million UAH from the state budget for local budgets located in de-occupied and frontline areas. This decision aims to enhance financial support for communities that have been negatively affected by the war or have accepted relocated institutions.

Who Will Receive Additional Financial Support

According to the approved document, the funds are distributed among various categories of local budgets:

  • Regional budgets of Donetsk and Luhansk regions will receive 33.5 million UAH.
  • Budgets of 39 territorial communities in cities — 157.3 million UAH.
  • Budgets of 74 rural and settlement territorial communities — 82.4 million UAH.

Purpose of the Subsidy and Next Steps

As noted by the Ministry of Finance, this subsidy distribution mechanism takes into account the specific needs of de-occupied, temporarily occupied, and frontline areas, as well as communities that have accepted institutions relocated due to military actions. The main goal is to reduce disparities in local budget revenues and ensure funding for essential expenditures in the fields of education, healthcare, and social protection.

We remind you that in February, the government already approved the allocation of 2 billion UAH for the purchase of over 540 school buses during the current year, which also contributes to the development of infrastructure in communities affected by the war.
