Tariffs for Electric Vehicle Charging in Ukraine Have Changed: Current Prices and Details

The tariffs for electricity for electric vehicle charging stations in Ukraine have been updated. For many networks, prices have remained stable or even decreased. As of September 2025, to charge an electric vehicle, owners will have to pay 15.27 UAH per kWh at AC stations and 17.77 UAH per kWh at DC stations. A full charge of a 60 kWh battery will cost between 916 and 1066 UAH.

Updated Tariffs and Calculation Features

As of September 1, 2025, the tariffs for electricity distribution for first and second class voltage consumers have increased in the country. This could lead to higher costs for charging electric vehicles, but most electric charging station operators have not changed their service prices. Some networks have even lowered their prices: one company reduced the tariff for AC connections by 1.50 UAH, and for DC by 1.91 UAH. At the same time, one network raised the tariff for fast charging by only 1 UAH.

  • AC Port (Standard Charging) – 15.27 UAH/kWh (0.25 UAH less than in August)
  • DC Port (Fast Charging) – 17.77 UAH/kWh (0.15 UAH less than before)

On intercity routes and powerful fast charging stations, tariffs are traditionally higher than in cities, where charging stations are often located in parking lots of shopping centers, hotels, or restaurants.

Charging Costs and Comparison with Gasoline Cars

For a popular electric vehicle with a 60 kWh battery, charging at an AC port will cost approximately 916 UAH, while at a DC port it will be around 1066 UAH. This amount of energy provides a range of 350–400 km, depending on driving style. If we take an average consumption of 20 kWh per 100 km, charging from AC will cost 305 UAH/100 km, and from DC will cost 355 UAH/100 km.

“In comparison, a gasoline internal combustion engine vehicle consumes an average of 10 liters of A-95 gasoline for the same 100 km. At current prices, this is significantly more expensive – over 500 UAH.”

A home outlet remains the most economical option for electric vehicle owners. Using a two-zone meter allows for significantly reduced costs for nighttime charging compared to network charging stations.
