One of Ukraine’s leading manufacturers of pet products, Suziria Group, which owns the MasterZoo store chain, has opened a new production line in Kalush, Ivano-Frankivsk region. The total area of the new facility is 800 square meters, and the investment amount exceeds €6.1 million. The company’s plans for 2026 include additional investments exceeding €1 million. This strategic move allows Suziria Group not only to strengthen business stability but also to significantly reduce dependence on imports.

Capacity Expansion and Market Impact

Current estimates suggest that imported products account for about 66% of pet goods in the Ukrainian market. The launch of the new plant in Kalush will cover up to 15% of the domestic market for wet animal feed, equivalent to approximately 66,000 tons annually. At the initial stage, the facility is designed to produce up to 5,000 tons of products per year, and by the end of 2026, the company plans to increase this figure to 10,000 tons.

Development Strategy and Export Opportunities

The opening of the new line is the third production project for Suziria Group in Kalush: the first plant for the production of grain feed and treats was launched in September 2022, and the second for meat treats was opened in November 2023. In addition, the company has another facility in Kharkiv. In the new workshop, Suziria Group plans to produce not only its own products but also goods for partner brands. The company’s products are already represented in the markets of 13 countries worldwide, indicating active development in the export direction.

Investing in one’s own production is a strategic step for business stability and reducing import dependence.
