According to information from “Sumyoblenergo”, electricity supply in Shostka is temporarily suspended due to emergency work being carried out. Specialists warn that repeated outages are possible. They emphasize that these measures are necessary as efforts are ongoing to find a comprehensive solution to restore electricity supply for all residents who are currently without power.

“This is a necessary step, as energy workers are working on a comprehensive solution that will allow us to provide electricity to all consumers who are currently without power,” the energy workers stated.

Situation with Gas, Mobile Communication, and Resilience Points

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Grygorov, reported that all emergency services and engineering teams are working in an enhanced mode to restore electricity and gas to the homes of residents as quickly as possible. By morning, a significant portion of consumers had received electricity, and more than half of the houses were connected to gas supply. Work is ongoing around the clock to fully stabilize the situation in the community.

Additionally, Grygorov informed that approximately 80% of mobile communication in the city is already functioning stably. All resilience points remain open and are equipped with autonomous internet for residents who need support during the blackout.

At the same time, “Ukrenergo” stated that the situation with energy supply in Shostka and part of the Sumy region remains complex, but efforts to stabilize it are ongoing continuously.
