The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has announced that active preparations are underway for the implementation of new digital services in the Diia application. In particular, users will be able to pay property taxes and tax debts directly through the platform. The launch of this service is expected to take place in 2026.

First step towards the digitalization of tax services
The innovative feature is being developed in close collaboration between the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the State Tax Service (STS). The main goal is to make the service as simple and intuitive as possible for every user. The project is part of the roadmap for the development of Diia, which envisions the gradual implementation of new functionalities for Ukrainians.
“We are already working on new convenient services — the payment of property taxes and tax debts in Diia. Our team, together with colleagues from the State Tax Service (STS), is working to ensure that the service is understandable from the first click. The plan is to launch this service within the Diia roadmap tentatively in 2026,” the response to the request from the Interfax-Ukraine agency states in a message from the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
Convenience and transparency for citizens and businesses
Currently, the architecture of the future service is being developed so that the processes of paying taxes are no longer associated with queues or complicated procedures. The innovation aims to provide the same ease of use as other services in Diia.
According to acting head of the STS Lesia Karnaukh, the new service will be beneficial for both citizens and individual entrepreneurs. It will allow users to check taxable objects — real estate, land plots, vehicles — verify data, receive assessments, learn about any debts, and make tax payments in just a few clicks.
