Scale of destruction and progress in eliminating the aftermath

According to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, Russian drones, likely of the “Geran” type, targeted one of the energy facilities in the Nizhyn district. Fires broke out at the impact sites, which were promptly extinguished by rescuers. However, the strike led to widespread disruptions in electricity supply.

“The Nizhyn district was attacked by enemy drones, presumably ‘Gerans’. Fires occurred at the impact sites – the blaze was extinguished. There was a strike on an energy infrastructure facility,” he noted.

After the shelling, over 26 thousand subscribers in Bobrovytsia and nearby villages were left without electricity. Energy companies have already begun restoring power supply, and repair crews are working in an enhanced mode.

Attacks in the region continue

In total, over the past day, Russian forces attacked various settlements in Chernihiv region 20 times. Explosions were heard in 13 towns and villages, including the Korukivka and Novhorod-Siverskyi districts.

Due to intense shelling and the destruction of energy infrastructure, the population of the region remains partially without electricity; however, energy workers are making every effort to quickly restore power supply.
