Sepphyol Street: An Architectural Complex to Honor Fallen Soldiers
The new street, named Sepphyol, has appeared in the Hwasong district. In state reports, it is referred to as an architectural complex designed to immortalize the “feats of heroes” who died during the overseas military operation. This space has been created in honor of the soldiers who participated in the conflict on the side of the Russian Federation and did not return home.

Support for Families of the Fallen and Social Guarantees
During the opening, Kim Jong Un emphasized the importance of the new site for the current generation and future residents of Pyongyang. According to him, the street has been created primarily for the families of the fallen soldiers and members of engineering units who were sent abroad.
“The new site should become a source of honor for our generation and pride for Pyongyang and the state”.
The North Korean leader also promised that the families of the fallen would receive “a proud and dignified life,” and the state would provide them with additional privileges and social support. The idea of creating a separate street for the relatives of war participants had been discussed since August of last year.
