As the year comes to a close, the retail sector in Ukraine continues to actively develop, opening new outlets across the country. Several new stores have opened in the Odessa shopping and entertainment center “Ostriv”: Intertop, Arber, the sports space Apollo Next, the retailer “House of Toys,” and the jewelry brand Pandora. This update significantly expanded the selection for visitors.

Retail Development in the Capital Region and Other Cities
The “Gifts of the Sea” chain from Sumy opened its first store with an exclusive design in Kyiv, focusing on the uniqueness of the retail space. Meanwhile, a renovated Spar supermarket opened at the Central Railway Station in the capital in a modern format. The store’s area now exceeds 140 square meters, allowing for a significant expansion of the product range.
In Irpin, Kyiv region, the first VARUS supermarket has started operating, marking an important step for the development of local retail infrastructure. In Chernivtsi, the retailer Fozzy opened a new wholesale hypermarket covering 6,400 square meters – this is the retailer’s first store in this region.
Network Activity and Future Plans
The COMFY chain opened two new stores at the end of the year – in Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi. A total of six new outlets of this chain began operations in 2025. COMFY is currently represented by 115 stores in 54 cities across Ukraine.
“The first phase of the Mukachevo retail park, covering over 8,600 square meters, started operating in mid-November this year, but already the occupancy rate of the facility exceeds 80%.”
In the new Mukachevo retail park in Transcarpathia, stores such as CCC, Worldbox, and a large branch of “Nova Poshta” are planned to open. Among the tenants that have already begun operations in the park are Jysk, LC Waikiki, Comfy, Sinsay, Andi, and others. The high level of occupancy indicates significant demand and positive prospects for retail development in the region.
