Rental Prices for Apartments in Kyiv Have Dropped Sharply

A significant decrease in rental prices for apartments has been recorded in the capital of Ukraine. Over the past six months, rental prices have decreased by 23.39%, which is equivalent to about 5,700 UAH, from an average of 24,148 UAH to 18,500 UAH.

According to analysts, rental prices have also fallen by more than 1,500 UAH, or 7.63%, in the last month.

Where is Rental Most Affordable?

On average, rental prices for apartments in various districts of Kyiv range from 11,000 to 33,378 UAH. Thus, the difference between the most expensive and the cheapest rental is 22,378 UAH. The lowest prices are observed in the Desnyansky district, where the average rental cost is 11,000 UAH.

Additionally, the rental prices in other districts are as follows:

  • Dniprovsky and Sviatoshynsky districts – 14,000 UAH;
  • Darnytsky – 16,000 UAH;
  • Obolonsky – 17,000 UAH;
  • Holosiivsky – 18,000 UAH;
  • Podilsky – 21,150 UAH;
  • Pechersky district – the most expensive, with an average cost of 33,378 UAH;
  • Shevchenkivsky – 30,500 UAH;
  • Solomiansky – 25,000 UAH.

Rental Prices for Different Types of Apartments

In the rental market, one-bedroom apartments in Kyiv are most often rented for 20,000 UAH, making up 13.3% of listings. Popular prices also include 14,000 and 18,000 UAH, each accounting for 11.1% of listings.

As for two-bedroom apartments, their prices usually range between 10,000 and 17,000 UAH, which constitutes 10.4% of listings. Three-bedroom apartments in the capital are typically rented for 30,400 UAH, and in 12.5% of cases for 17,600 UAH.
