Poland Introduces Preferential Loans for Companies Involved in the Reconstruction of Ukraine

Starting in April, Poland will launch a preferential loan program for companies participating in projects for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The total funding at the initial stage will amount to PLN 250 million, which is approximately €60 million.

This is reported by Finway

For the first time in history, funds from the European budget that were not utilized in the previous EU budgetary period will be directed towards this goal. Although this is just the initial amount, it is planned to be increased in the future.

Funding will be provided to Polish companies for export development, organization of production, transportation, and strengthening logistical capabilities, opening new opportunities for business in Ukraine.

Conditions for Preferential Lending

The interest rate for companies just starting their operations in the Ukrainian market will be 2%. For those who already have partners in Ukraine, the rate is reduced to 1.75%. Even lower rates are planned for medical companies.

The maximum amount of a single loan will be PLN 10 million, or €2.4 million, and the repayment term for loans will vary from 10 to 12 years.
