Polish railway operator Grupa Azoty Koltar receives permission for cross-border transportation with Ukraine

The Polish railway operator Grupa Azoty Koltar has signed an agreement with “Ukrzaliznytsia” that allows the company to conduct transportation through key border crossings of Yahodyn – Dorohusk and Medyka – Mostyska. This agreement will create conditions for faster processing of trains and ensure uninterrupted railway communication between Ukraine and Poland.

Expansion of international cooperation

The formalization of this agreement is part of Grupa Azoty Koltar’s development strategy for 2026–2030, which focuses on expanding international transport cooperation. With the signing of this contract, the company will be able to organize the transportation of chemical substances, including fertilizers, more efficiently in the European market.

Integration into European logistics

“Ukrzaliznytsia” is actively expanding direct contacts with foreign carriers. Similar agreements have already been concluded with companies from Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, and Romania. Currently, the Ukrainian railway services international freight flows at nearly 40 border crossings, contributing to deeper integration into the European logistics infrastructure.
