Pension Payment Schedule and Methods in Ukraine in September 2025

In Ukraine, pension payments are made from the 4th to the 25th of each month. Citizens can receive funds through banking institutions or via “Ukrposhta,” which offers both home delivery and pick-up at branches. Each method has its own features and timelines for crediting funds.

Features of Pension Payments through Banks and “Ukrposhta”

The vast majority of pensioners who choose to receive their pension through a bank get their funds in the first days of the payment period – usually from the 4th to the 10th of the month. Banks such as PrivatBank and Oschadbank credit pensions according to their internal schedules, but the general trend remains – money is received at the beginning of the month.

“Ukrposhta” operates according to schedules agreed upon with the Pension Fund. In rural areas, couriers deliver funds personally to homes, while in cities, pensioners can receive payments at branches on designated days. For those who have requested delivery to their residence, postal workers bring the pension according to an individual route. This is particularly relevant for individuals with first-group disabilities or those requiring assistance – payments are made at home based on a written request.

Additional Conditions and Procedures for Informing Pensioners

The first payment upon pension assignment may arrive within one to two months after the corresponding decision is made. Pensioners entitled to benefits (war veterans, combatants, individuals with special merits) receive their payments on a priority basis – by the 10th of the current month.

For those who cannot collect their pension in person, there is an option to receive payment by proxy – such a proxy is valid for one year, after which it must be renewed.

Information about the amount and date of pension crediting can be obtained in three ways:

  • through the online cabinet of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the “My Pension” section after authorization via BankID, electronic signature, or the “Diia” app;
  • by calling the hotline at 0 800 503 753 (free of charge) or the city numbers (044) 281-08-70, (044) 281-08-71;
  • in person at the PFU branch with a passport and identification code.

“From March 2025, all payments will already account for indexing, so the updated pension amount will be reflected in the Pension Fund cabinet.”

Pensions are paid exclusively in cash no later than the 25th of the month for which they are designated. The state guarantees the regularity of payments; however, specific dates depend on the chosen method of receipt: bank or post.
