Right to Receive Pension Regardless of Registration Place

According to Article 47 of the Law of Ukraine “On Mandatory State Pension Insurance”, pension payments are possible regardless of the registered place of residence. The Pension Fund emphasizes that pensions are paid at the place of actual residence of the pensioner within Ukraine. Changing the address for receiving payments helps avoid delays or technical issues with the disbursement of funds.

“Pensions are paid at the address of the pensioner’s actual residence within Ukraine. Therefore, after moving, citizens can officially change the place of payment to avoid delays or issues with the disbursement of funds”.

How to Submit an Application for Pension Transfer

A pensioner can submit an application for changing the address of pension payments in either paper or electronic form:

  • In Person: They should visit any service center of the Pension Fund of Ukraine regardless of their registered place of residence. Specialists will assist in preparing the documents and making changes to the pension file.
  • Online: The application can be submitted through the Pension Fund’s electronic services web portal. To do this, a qualified electronic signature (QES) is required. This method is convenient for those who cannot visit the service center in person or live far from the fund’s branches.

To use electronic submission, one must log in to the portal using the QES, select the section “Regarding Pension Provision” in the menu, and then choose “Application for Pension Recalculation”. In the corresponding form, all mandatory fields must be filled out, select “Type of Recalculation” as “Registration (in the new district)” and indicate the main office of the Pension Fund at the new place of residence. Information regarding other possible pension payments or receiving a pension in another country should also be provided.

Required Documents and Status Check

To process the electronic application, it is necessary to upload scanned copies of the passport, identification code, and pension certificate. It is important that the documents are scanned in color format with a clear image of all details (series, number, signatures, stamps). The files should be in JPG or PDF format, and the size of each should not exceed 1 MB. The recommended scanning quality is 300 dpi.

After uploading the documents, consent for the processing of personal data must be provided, the accuracy of all information should be checked, and the application must be signed with an electronic signature. The status of the application review can be monitored in the personal cabinet on the portal in the “My Requests” section. The results of the request processing will be displayed there.
