Systematic Attacks on American Businesses
According to Sybiha, the recent strike by the Russian Federation on a Bunge company facility in Dnipro, which produces sunflower oil under the “Oлейна” brand, is yet another example of deliberate actions by the Russians against American investments. Russian forces have repeatedly attempted to damage this plant, indicating a lack of randomness in their choice of targets.
“During the full-scale war, approximately half of the members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine have experienced damage or destruction of their facilities to varying degrees,” added Sybiha.
The minister emphasized that such attacks are part of a targeted campaign by the Russian Federation against American businesses. In particular, last year, Russian strikes caused damage to Boeing’s office in the capital, a large electronics manufacturer in Transcarpathia, and several other facilities owned by American companies.
Disregard for International Efforts
Andriy Sybiha highlighted that the actions of the Russian Federation’s authorities and personally Putin reflect a complete disregard for peaceful initiatives led by U.S. President Donald Trump and undermine efforts to ensure stability in the region.
AmCham Ukraine unites over 600 companies from the U.S., as well as international and Ukrainian enterprises operating in various sectors of the country’s economy.
