Fuel Prices Decrease in Ukraine in March 2025

In March 2025, a decrease in retail prices for gasoline, diesel fuel, and autogas was observed in Ukraine. The cost of fuel has dropped by approximately one hryvnia per liter. According to monitoring data from A-95 Consulting Group, the average prices as of March 31, 2025, were:

This is reported by Finway

  • Gasoline A-95: 55.66 UAH per liter (a decrease of 1.25 UAH over the month)
  • Diesel Fuel: 54.36 UAH per liter (a decrease of 0.94 UAH)
  • Autogas: 36.13 UAH per liter (a decrease of 0.85 UAH)

The main reason for the price decrease was a reduction in sales volumes at gas stations, which resulted from decreased mobility among the population. Additionally, global oil prices have an impact on fuel prices, as Ukraine imports the majority of its fuel. In March 2025, Brent crude oil prices rose slightly from $73 to $74 per barrel.

It is important to note that since September 1, 2024, excise taxes on fuel were increased in Ukraine, marking the first stage of tax changes. Again, on January 1, 2025, excise taxes were raised, leading to an increase in prices at gas stations.

The National Bank of Ukraine predicts further acceleration in fuel price growth, believing that inflation rates could exceed 13% this year due to the impact of increased excise taxes.
