Growth in Freight Transportation Volumes
From January to April 2026, the total volume of cargo transported by all modes of transport reached 104.4 million tons, which is 5% higher than the figure for the same period in 2025. The majority of freight transportation was provided by rail.

Distribution of Transportation by Modes of Transport
During the specified period, rail transport carried 48 million tons of cargo, while road transport accounted for 45.9 million tons. Thus, rail remains the leading mode of transport for cargo transportation across the country, although road transport also shows significant volume.
