Poland has become a key logistics and transit hub for Ukraine since the onset of the full-scale aggression by the Russian Federation. The country also provides supplies of vital products necessary to support the Ukrainian economy. In addition, a significant number of Ukrainian labor migrants and refugees working in Poland contribute to the growth of the Polish economy, which is outpacing the average European rates.

Dynamics of Export and Import Between Ukraine and Poland
In 2022, the volume of Ukrainian exports to Poland increased by 27%, reaching $6.7 billion. However, after a partial recovery of exports through the Black Sea in 2023, export volumes to Poland decreased by 28.6%, and in 2024, by another 1%. Despite this, a new phase of growth has been recorded this year: Ukrainian exports to Poland have risen by 3%, reaching $3.7 billion.
Strengthening Economic Ties and Benefits for Poland
Imports of goods from Poland to Ukraine show steady growth. If in 2021 the import volume was $5 billion, by 2024 this figure increased by 40%, reaching $7 billion. For the current year, the import volume has already amounted to $5.7 billion.
Poland gains tangible economic benefits from trade relations with Ukraine: expansion of regional influence; economic development and addressing the labor shortage; expansion of the sales market; development of transport and warehousing infrastructure.
Thus, cooperation with Ukraine not only provides Poland with economic growth but also strengthens its position in the region, contributes to the modernization of logistics infrastructure, and stimulates the development of the domestic market.
