Women’s representation in technical specialties is growing
Many participants in training programs have already completed their education, while some continue to acquire new skills. Employers are actively interested in collaborating with new female specialists: companies have submitted over 400 applications for the employment of women in skilled positions. To date, 247 women have completed their training, of which 212 are already employed, while the rest are preparing to start new jobs.
Professions with the highest demand and income levels
Among the most popular fields chosen by Ukrainian women, the profession of woodworking machine operator leads, with nearly 250 women having mastered this specialty. The second position is held by boiler operators, and the third by tractor drivers. There is also demand for forklift drivers, trolleybus drivers, and repair mechanics. Overall, the initiative covers more than 30 professions with high demand for personnel and prospects for stable employment.
The geography of the project is quite broad: the most job openings for women are in the Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, and Rivne regions. An important factor for many is the level of salary. According to data from a major job portal, the average salary in the woodworking sector for machine operators is 16,000 to 22,000 hryvnias. Tractor drivers earn 18,000 to 25,000 hryvnias, and boiler operators earn 15,000 to 20,000 hryvnias. Forklift drivers can expect an income starting from 17,000 hryvnias, while trolleybus drivers earn between 20,000 and 27,000 hryvnias. Repair mechanics have salaries ranging from 18,000 to 23,000 hryvnias.
