The cost of used passenger cars in Ukraine varies significantly depending on the region. The average price for such vehicles ranges from 2,800 to 8,800 US dollars, but the distribution of price offers across the country’s regions is very uneven.

Regions with the Highest Prices for Used Cars
The most expensive offers on the secondary market are concentrated in Kyiv and the western regions of Ukraine. In the capital and Kyiv region, the average cost of used cars is about 8,800 dollars. In the Lviv region, this figure is 7,800 dollars, while in Transcarpathia, it stands at 7,000 dollars.
According to analysts, such prices are typical for regions with well-developed import logistics and high purchasing power, where a significant portion of vehicles consists of recently imported European-made cars.
“In most regions of central and western parts of the country, the average prices for used cars range from 5,500 to 6,600 dollars. This is a typical picture for the used car market: mid-aged cars of local or European origin.”
Where to Buy Used Cars at the Cheapest Prices
In border and frontline regions, especially in the east and south of the country, prices for used cars remain the lowest on the market. Specifically, in Donetsk and Kherson regions, the average price is only 2,800 dollars, while in Luhansk, it is 3,500 dollars. In these areas, demand for vehicles has decreased, and the active vehicle fleet has shrunk, leading to lower offers. Older and lower-class cars dominate here.
Overall, trends in the used car market in Ukraine are determined by regional specifics: in stable regions with active imports and high demand, prices are significantly higher, while in conflict zones and regions with reduced demand, the cost of cars is noticeably lower.
