The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, made a working visit to South Korea, where he participated in the Asian Leadership Forum. During the forum, Kim held a series of negotiations, with the key topic being the restoration and modernization of Ukraine, with a particular focus on energy independence and the development of Mykolaiv region.

Meetings with Leading Korean Companies
During the visit, Kim met with representatives of international leaders in engineering, energy, and industry — Samsung, Hyundai, LG, and other corporations. The main topics of discussion included the import of advanced technologies, attracting investments, and training specialists, which will contribute to the restoration of Ukraine’s infrastructure. Kim noted the optimistic prospects for further cooperation.
Investments in Education and Workforce Training
A separate topic of negotiations was cooperation with the largest engineering university in Korea, which has over 34,000 students. The parties discussed the possibility of training Ukrainian students in specialties relevant to the country’s future, which will ensure that Ukraine has the necessary qualified personnel for reconstruction.
“In all meetings and interviews with Korean media, I emphasized – the partnership between Ukraine and Korea should be long-term, mutually beneficial, and technological,” concluded Vitaliy Kim.
Following the visit, Kim emphasized that South Korea is ready to support Ukraine both technologically and strategically, as well as participate in shaping a new model of economic development for the country.
