In Ukraine, a new approach to reserving employees during mobilization is being studied at the legislative level. The essence of this approach is that businesses will be able to retain key employees while also contributing to the replenishment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Mechanism of Alternative Reserving
Fedir Venislavskyi, a member of the parliamentary committee on national security, defense, and intelligence, spoke about a potential mechanism that would allow enterprises to attract additional candidates for military service. According to this model, a company that wishes to retain an important specialist can facilitate the recruitment of several new individuals into the military.
“As an option, a business can ensure the recruitment of three to ten individuals who are ready to serve, instead of one employee,” Venislavskyi explained.
Advantages and Next Steps
According to the deputy, the proposed model does not violate the principle of fairness, as it effectively allows for compensating the mobilization of one employee by attracting several new recruits. However, the initiative is currently at the discussion stage and is being considered as one of the possible options for amendments to the existing rules for reserving personnel during mobilization.
