Ukrzaliznytsia has introduced a new train service format for train No. 39/40 Zaporizhzhia – Chop – Solotvyno, significantly enhancing the transport connection of eastern Transcarpathia with European Union countries. The updated route allows passengers to conveniently transfer to international flights in Chop, opening up more opportunities for travel abroad.

Convenient Transfers to International Destinations
Starting from July 31, train No. 39/40 will depart from Zaporizhzhia at 16:01, from Dnipro at 18:17, arriving in Chop at 13:35 the next day. In Chop, passengers will have the opportunity to transfer to the following international flights:
- No. 647 Chop – Zahony (Hungary)
- No. 123 Chop – Prague (Czech Republic)
- No. 31 Mukachevo – Budapest (Hungary)
- No. 965 Mukachevo – Košice (Slovakia)
- No. 649 Chop – Zahony (Hungary)
In the opposite direction, the train departs from Chop at 13:37, arriving in Dnipro at 08:37, and in Zaporizhzhia at 10:49. Passengers can conveniently transfer to incoming international flights:
- No. 642 Nyíregyháza – Mukachevo
- No. 122 Prague – Chop
- No. 644 Zahony – Chop
- No. 960 Košice – Mukachevo
Expanded Opportunities for Residents of Transcarpathia
From now on, residents of Solotvyno, Teresva, Tyachiv, Khust, Korolevo, Vynohradiv, and Berehove will be able to reach Chop without transfers on train No. 39/40 and make a comfortable transfer to international trains to the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. Similarly, in the opposite direction – upon arriving in Chop from these countries, passengers will be able to continue their journey to the cities of eastern Transcarpathia on the same train.
“Residents of Solotvyno, Teresva, Tyachiv, Khust, Korolevo, Vynohradiv, and Berehove will now also be able to conveniently reach Chop on train No. 39/40 Solotvyno – Chop – Zaporizhzhia and transfer to international flights to the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia. In the opposite direction, after arriving in Chop from Hungary, Slovakia, or the Czech Republic, travelers can continue their journey on the same train No. 39/40 to the cities of eastern Transcarpathia,” noted UZ.
Additionally, a convenient transfer route to eastern Transcarpathia – Berehove, Korolevo, Khust, Tyachiv, and Solotvyno will be available for residents of Uzhhorod. To do this, they will need to take train No. 59/60 Kyiv – Chop, and in Chop, transfer to train No. 39/40 Zaporizhzhia – Solotvyno. In the opposite direction, one can reach Chop on train No. 40/39 Solotvyno – Zaporizhzhia and transfer to train No. 60/59 Chop – Kyiv for further travel to Uzhhorod.
