The Ukrainian IT market in 2026 has the potential for growth of approximately 5%, however, the main challenge for the industry continues to be the impact of the war. This assessment is provided by top executives of leading technology companies in Ukraine. In particular, EPAM intends to invest in the development of young specialists and plans to hire between 750 and 800 junior developers over the course of the year.

Experts note that the Ukrainian IT industry is moving towards deeper specialization, achieving a higher level of technological maturity, and strengthening integration into the global market. Product companies from Ukraine will continue to actively operate on global platforms, but the issue of access to international capital will remain one of the key factors for the further development of the industry. Despite the challenges, Ukraine maintains its competitive positions among the world leaders in the field of information technology.

Labor Market Dynamics and Employment Leaders

In the second half of 2025, the labor market in the IT sector in Ukraine experienced significant revitalization. During this period, the number of job openings on the portal jobs.dou.ua reached 41,000, which is 11% more than in the first half of the year. This is a record figure since 2021. The companies that were most actively seeking new employees included Genesis, N-iX, and the drone systems team “Rarog”.
