The Ukrainian defense industry continues to enhance its capabilities in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles. During a meeting with representatives from over 20 German defense companies, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov presented key initiatives from Kyiv aimed at attracting foreign investment in the national military equipment production.

Development of Cooperation with German Partners
During the negotiations, the minister emphasized the potential of Ukrainian industry to manufacture up to 10 million drones annually. According to Umerov, with adequate funding, Ukrainian enterprises will be able to increase production not only of drones but also of other modern means of destruction.
“Our industry is already capable of producing up to 10 million drones per year. With proper funding, we can produce even more modern means of destruction,” he noted.
Additionally, the parties discussed a cooperation project that involves integrating Ukrainian technologies with the production capacities of foreign partners. This will allow for the scaling up of weapon production and enhance the level of technological interaction. The state, according to the minister, is ready to act as a co-investor in joint projects, participate in the creation of joint ventures, and assist foreign companies in finding partners in Ukraine.
Expansion of the International Drone Coalition
In July, Belgium and Turkey officially joined the international drone coalition, which works to strengthen Ukraine’s defense through the implementation of unmanned technologies. Thus, the coalition now comprises 20 countries. Participants have already accumulated approximately 194 million dollars in a fund designated for the procurement of drones for the needs of the Ukrainian army, significantly enhancing the country’s defense capabilities.
