The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine firmly denies any involvement in the explosives found near the “Turkish Stream” pipeline in Serbia. A representative of the Ukrainian foreign policy agency, Georgiy Tikhiy, emphasized that Ukraine is in no way connected to this incident.

“Most likely, this is a Russian operation under a false flag as part of Moscow’s massive interference in the Hungarian elections,” he noted.
Response from Hungarian Officials
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto expressed on social media the opinion that Ukraine is allegedly obstructing energy resource supplies to Hungary by carrying out drone attacks on the “Turkish Stream” pipeline within the territory of the Russian Federation. According to him, the attempted terrorist act in Serbia may be linked to these events.
In response to the threat, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced the strengthening of military monitoring and security along the “Turkish Stream” pipeline.
Position of the Hungarian Opposition
The leader of the opposition party “Tisa,” Peter Madyar, stated that he had received a warning about a possible incident involving the pipeline ahead of the elections, which he believes could have been planned with the involvement of Serbia and the Russian Federation to boost the ratings of the ruling party “Fidesz.”
Peter Madyar called on Prime Minister Orban to refrain from spreading panic during the Easter holidays, emphasizing that such actions are likely coordinated by Russian advisors to the Hungarian authorities. He believes that similar scenarios are used to intimidate the population through false flag operations. The opposition politician promised that the new government would conduct a thorough investigation to identify the masterminds and those responsible for such crimes against Hungary.
It is worth noting that back in March, Peter Szijjarto accused Ukraine of attacking the compressor station of the “Turkish Stream” pipeline, calling it an attempt at an energy blockade.
