The defense forces of Ukraine carried out a series of effective strikes on strategic facilities of the military-industrial complex and the oil refining sector of the Russian Federation. In particular, the Sloviansk oil refinery in the city of Sloviansk-on-Kuban, the R. Graifer drilling rig in the Caspian Sea, as well as the Nikolaevskaya oil depot tank and the river vessel “Captain Gibert” were attacked.

Damage to the Sloviansk Oil Refinery and Consequences for the Russian Federation
On the night of December 17, 2025, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces used Deep Strike capabilities to hit the infrastructure of the Sloviansk oil refinery in Sloviansk-on-Kuban, located in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation. As a result of the strike, explosions and a fire were recorded at the site, and the extent of the damage is currently being assessed. This refinery is one of the key facilities for supplying the armed forces of the Russian occupiers, as its capacity for processing crude oil and condensate is approximately 5.2 million tons per year.
“On the night of December 17, 2025, units of the Defense Forces struck the infrastructure of the ‘Sloviansk’ oil refinery in the city of Sloviansk-on-Kuban in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation using Deep Strike capabilities,” the report states.
Attacks on the Oil Depot, Drilling Rig, and Enemy Warehouses
Additionally, damage to the territory of the Nikolaevskaya oil depot in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation has been confirmed, where a tank and the river vessel “Captain Gibert” were damaged. In the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region, a field artillery depot of the unit from the 101st separate logistics brigade of the invaders was attacked, and the scale of the damage is being clarified.
It is also noted that on December 14, 2025, Ukrainian strike drones attacked the R. Graifer drilling rig in the waters of the Caspian Sea. As a result of the attack, a stationary platform housing the operational and technical module for the preparation and pumping of extracted gas was damaged. This has completely halted the operation of all 14 wells, with a total extraction volume of nearly 3,500 tons per day.
