Fighting in Key Directions and Enemy Losses

Ukrainian defense forces are successfully resisting attempts by the Russian army to improve their positions and advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. The enemy is suffering significant losses in personnel and military equipment. In particular, there was one attack in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, while in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian units made 11 attempts to breach the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Additionally, active combat actions were ongoing in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, and Kramatorsk directions. In the Kostyantynivka direction, the enemy attacked 15 times in the areas of the settlements of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Novopavlivka, Kucherevyy Yar, and Sofiyivka.

The most tense situation was observed in the Pokrovsk direction, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 assault actions by Russian troops near Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Zatyshok, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Udachny, Molodetske, Muravka, and Novopavlivka.

Russian troops also conducted attacks in the Oleksandrivka (5 attacks) and Hulyaipole (12 attacks) directions. Meanwhile, in the Orikhiv and Dnipro directions, Russia did not conduct any assault actions.

Shelling and Drone Use Despite the Ceasefire

The General Staff notes that during the ceasefire, no missile or airstrikes, nor attacks by drones of the “Shahed” and “Gerbera” types from Russia were recorded. At the same time, the enemy actively used artillery, conducting 1,567 shellings of Ukrainian military positions, carrying out 119 assault actions, and launching 9,035 kamikaze drone strikes: FPV, “Italmas”, “Lancet”, and “Molniya”.

“Since the beginning of the ceasefire declaration, a total of 10,721 violations by the enemy have been recorded. Ukrainian defenders continue to effectively resist on all sections of the front,” the command states.

On the evening of April 9, the Kremlin announced Putin’s order to cease hostilities from 16:00 on April 11 until the end of the day on April 12, while simultaneously instructing the troops to be ready to counter “provocations from the enemy.” Accordingly, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, was tasked by the president to ensure compliance with the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side.
