Ukrainian Drones Destroyed the Radar of the S-400 System and the Tor Air Defense System of the Occupants in Crimea and Donetsk

Ukrainian military forces continue to effectively target key elements of the Russian air defense on temporarily occupied territories. Operators of the 9th Battalion “Kairós” of the 414th Separate Brigade “Birds of Madyar” successfully destroyed a modern radar station (RLS) that was part of the S-400 system, located in Crimea. According to reports, this radar can track aerial targets at a distance of up to 600 km, simultaneously track up to 100 objects, and guide up to 72 missiles. It can be deployed in 5 minutes and usually changes position before being detected.

Strike on Air Defense Systems and New Successes of the Armed Forces

The military noted that destroying such a target is a complex task, but Ukrainian units have still achieved success. In addition, operators of the 1st Separate Drone Systems Center carried out three strikes on the Tor air defense system in the Donetsk region, resulting in even greater losses for the enemy in their air defense system.

“A complex target, but achievable,” the military stated.

Ukrainian defenders also managed to destroy the ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft installation based on the MT-LB, which Russian troops used as a short-range air defense system against Ukrainian drones. All these operations were conducted in close cooperation with the Deep Strikes Center.

Strikes on Russian Drone Hubs and Electronic Warfare Systems

On the night of April 4, the drone forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out attacks on two hubs with “Shaheds” near the village of Navlya in the Bryansk region and at the Khalino airfield in the Kursk region. Additionally, on April 3, a special unit of Lasar’s Group of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed a Russian electronic warfare (EW) system “Palantir” in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

Among the latest trends on the front, the emergence of new types of EW systems called “Shchora” in the Russian army has also been noted, which can block video signals from FPV drones, complicating the work of Ukrainian drone operators.
