“This amount is needed to ramp up production, particularly of the missile program, to full capacity. Currently, we are underfunded by approximately this amount each year,” he explained.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is capable of creating an effective response to Russian missile attacks, provided there is adequate funding. He reported significant progress in the missile program ‘Ukrainian Ballistics’ and stressed that additional financial resources are needed for its further development, which cannot be covered by bilateral funding from partners.
The president also mentioned that Ukraine aims to secure funding and safety for new production lines by establishing them abroad.
“After the war, partners will be able to access these technologies. Such productions will start operating as early as this year,” he added.
Zelensky expressed confidence that Ukraine can surprise Russia if it receives the necessary funds.
“For all their missiles, we will find a response if we receive funding. This will bring us closer to peace, as the Russians still do not feel the war,” the president concluded.
