Additionally, plans include the completion of a medical facility in Sumy region, as well as funding for two educational institutions in Chernihiv region. This demonstrates the government’s efforts to restore social infrastructure in the affected regions.

Funding for Railway Infrastructure

The government also approved the procedure for using ₴128 million allocated in the state budget for financing railway infrastructure development projects in partnership with the European Union. This step is intended to facilitate the modernization of transport routes and improve logistical connections.

Water Supply for Mykolaiv

The company Autostrada began construction of a new water pipeline, 67.8 km long, in March, which will ensure the supply of drinking water to Mykolaiv. According to company representatives, the city, which has been suffering from infrastructure destruction by Russian troops for three years, currently receives only technical water through a damaged pipeline. The project’s cost is ₴6.227 billion, and its completion is planned in five months.

According to the Ministry of Development, last year, 640 projects were financed for a total of ₴17.7 billion under budget reconstruction programs, despite available funding of about ₴25 billion. Among the main reasons for underfunding are cited bureaucracy, low efficiency of local authorities in project implementation, and delays in public procurement processes.
