The event organizers emphasized the importance of GITEX as a platform that provides direct access to new markets, investments, talent, and partnership opportunities. According to them, “Over 45 years, the brand has become synonymous with international expansion and collaboration. Currently, GITEX exhibitions are held in seven countries and four regions around the world, including Germany, Morocco, Nigeria, Singapore, Thailand, the UAE, and Vietnam.”
The planning for the expansion of GITEX was announced during the GITEX ASIA x Ai Everything event in Singapore. This was a logical continuation following the signing of a joint declaration between Vietnam and the UAE regarding the intention to initiate negotiations for a comprehensive economic partnership agreement and to strengthen trade and economic cooperation.
Trixie LoMirmand, Executive Vice President of DWTC and CEO of KAOUN International, stated: “The first GITEX VIETNAM will be a milestone in the digital transformation of Vietnam and the new economies of Southeast Asia. GITEX will highlight the achievements, progressive policies, talent, infrastructure, and growing ambitions of this young economy, opening new opportunities for business summits between the government and the private sector worldwide. GITEX will elevate regional ecosystems to an international technological level. I am confident that the tech world will be pleasantly surprised.”
