Situation at the ‘Yahodyn-Dorohusk’ Border Crossing: Truck Traffic Decreases

At the ‘Yahodyn-Dorohusk’ border crossing, there is a significant outflow of trucks due to traffic blockages by Polish protesters. According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the ‘electronic queue, which just yesterday (May 12. — Ed.) had 1391 vehicles, has decreased by almost half and as of this morning stands at 789 empty or loaded vehicles. Carriers are no longer joining the ‘live queue’ for entry into Ukraine, opting for alternative routes instead,” the statement reads.

Furthermore, it is noted that from the night of May 12 to 13, the ‘Yahodyn’ customs post processed only 8 trucks exiting Ukraine, while 205 vehicles were processed for entry.

Protest of Polish Carriers

The protest by Polish carriers began on May 12 at 16:00. The protesters imposed restrictions on truck traffic, allowing only one vehicle to pass per hour in both directions. The main demands of the protesters are to draw attention to the issues of transportation in Poland and to restore the permitting system for Ukrainian carriers entering Poland.
