On the night of May 6, when the ceasefire came into effect in Ukraine, Russian troops launched a massive attack on several regions, using strike drones and guided aerial bombs (GAB). Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Kryvyi Rih: details of the attacks
The first reports of explosions came from Dnipro just hours after the ceasefire was announced. The Air Force had previously warned about the movement of enemy drones towards the city, which had been launched before midnight.
At around 5:00 AM, residents of Kharkiv region heard explosions in the area, and the Air Force warned several times throughout the night about drone activity in the region. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the Russians attacked the city with Shahed-type drones, resulting in a fire in a private residential building in the Novobavarskyi district. At the time of reporting, there was no information about casualties.
In Kryvyi Rih, explosions were heard around 6:00 AM. Local media reported on the operation of air defense forces in the city, and the Air Force had previously informed about the movement of an enemy drone towards Kryvyi Rih. The consequences of the shelling are being clarified.
Zaporizhzhia and Kherson: strikes on industry and use of GAB
Approximately at 6:00 AM, explosions were heard in Zaporizhzhia region and in Zaporizhzhia itself. The head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported a strike on an industrial infrastructure facility in the city. Fortunately, according to the official,
