The head of the “Land Bank” project, a specialized state operator that leases state agricultural lands through online auctions, Yaroslav Yaroslavsky, reported significant successes in the institution’s activities. Currently, the “Land Bank” is subleasing the first pool of state lands, consisting of 1,905 plots with a total area of 90,000 hectares.

So far, 1,048 auctions have been announced in 18 regions covering a total area of 43,340 hectares. A total of 585 auctions have been held for plots with a combined area of 38,050 hectares, of which rent has already been paid for 284 lots (21,790 hectares). In total, auction winners have contributed ₴598.9 million to the budget.
“During the auctions, a total of 3,463 bids were received. The increase in value compared to the starting price was eight times. As a result, the income reached nearly ₴600 million. This is the amount that tenants will pay annually for land use,” noted Yaroslavsky.
It is expected that, considering the average rent for land plots, which is ₴28,500 per month, the state could receive about ₴8 billion annually if it effectively utilizes all available state lands.
