Prices for Greenhouse Cucumbers in Ukraine Increased by 12% Due to Product Shortage

In Ukraine, at the end of the season, there is a noticeable increase in prices for greenhouse cucumbers. Producers are raising the price of this product daily, which is attributed to a significant reduction in supply from local farms.

Reasons for the Price Increase of Cucumbers

According to analytical data, the current price of cucumbers ranges from 100 to 120 hryvnias per kilogram, depending on the quality and size of the batch. This is on average 12% higher than a week ago. Experts link the price increase to the end of the season at many greenhouse complexes, which have effectively ceased product sales. Those farms that remain in the market are offering cucumbers only in small batches.

Demand and Price Outlook in the Market

At the same time, domestic demand for cucumbers in Ukraine remains high. This, along with limited supply, accelerates the pace of price growth. According to experts, today Ukrainian greenhouse complexes can sell cucumbers on average 12% more expensive than during the same period last year.

Market participants believe that the positive price dynamics may continue if the supply remains limited and demand does not decrease.
