Main Reasons for the Price Increase in Meat

Experts note that the main factor behind the rise in chicken prices is the increase in feed costs. Additionally, there is a decrease in the population of pigs and cattle on the market, which also affects the overall price dynamics of meat. According to analysts’ forecasts, meat prices may rise by another 5-7% by the end of summer.

“The market is experiencing a significant increase in meat prices. …The substantial rise in chicken prices is partly explained by the increase in feed costs.”
