Price Dynamics for Vegetables

In the greens segment, the only change affected green onions, which have significantly increased in price: their upper price limit jumped from 125 to 200 hryvnias per kilogram. Other types of greens have remained within previous price ranges.

The second consecutive weekly trend is the gradual decrease in the price of bulb onions. According to analysts, the maximum price for this vegetable has decreased from 12 to 10 hryvnias per kilogram. The increase in the supply of white cabbage has also contributed to a decrease in its cost – sellers are now offering it at prices ranging from 8 to 12 hryvnias per kilogram, whereas previously the range was 9–17 UAH/kg.

The prices of carrots and potatoes remain stable for now, and the price range is gradually narrowing. Carrots are being offered at 10–12 hryvnias per kilogram, while potatoes are priced at 11–14 hryvnias. The price range for cucumbers has also narrowed – from the previous 25–75 UAH/kg to 35–50 UAH/kg.

At the same time, zucchini and eggplants have become more expensive. For instance, the price of zucchini has risen from 10–22 to 18–45 hryvnias per kilogram, while eggplants have increased from 25–35 to 38–45 hryvnias.

Price Changes for Fruits and Berries

In the fruit and berry segment, raspberries have seen the highest price increase. A week ago, their price was 150–220 hryvnias per kilogram, and now it has risen to 220–420 hryvnias. Melons have also started to become more expensive: the price has increased from 15–35 to 20–40 hryvnias per kilogram.

The prices for vegetables and fruits in Ukraine have been rewritten again. For the second consecutive week, bulb onions are becoming cheaper.

At the same time, early apples have decreased in price – the lower price limit has dropped from 25 to 17 hryvnias, and grapes now cost between 70–100 hryvnias per kilogram, indicating a reduction in the price range.
