Omani Manufacturer Al Jazeera Steel Opens New Steel Plant in the UAE

The Omani company Al Jazeera Steel Products, known for producing long products and steel pipes, has undertaken a significant expansion of its operations in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The company has unveiled a new plant in the United Arab Emirates to meet the growing demand for beams, pipes, and other metal products in the region.

New Plant to Strengthen Market Position

The opening of the new medium profile plant in the UAE is an important strategic move for Al Jazeera Steel. The new facility is located in the KEZAD industrial zone and has a designed capacity of 450,000 tons of products per year. This plant allows the company to expand its product portfolio and respond quickly to the needs of the local market, particularly in the segments of beams, channels, angles, and rods. Additionally, the new production facility anticipates the future production of rails and specialized profiles.

Investment and Development Plans

The investment project was announced in mid-2023, with the plant’s launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. As of February 2026, preparatory and construction works are proceeding on schedule, with no significant delays reported. A presentation of the new production facility for clients and partners took place on February 12. This enables Al Jazeera Steel Products to strengthen its position not only in the domestic UAE market but also throughout the GCC region.

The facility is designed to meet the growing local demand for beams, channels, angles, and rods, and also anticipates the future rolling of rails and the production of specialized profiles.

The new plant in the UAE organically complements Al Jazeera Steel’s existing production capacities in Oman, which amount to 300,000 tons per year in the production of rebar, pipes, and galvanized products. This allows the company to effectively compete in the market and respond to the increasing demand in the construction sector of the Arab Gulf countries.
